Let's have sex
"Let's have sex" at Roman Viktyuk Theatre
Playwright Valentin Krasnogorov (Israel) wrote a paradoxical and somewhat provocative parable about contemporary relationships between men and women. Behind the shocking title and dialogues full of irony hides thinking about the crisis of the family as a social institution, of loneliness of the man when his love leaves his life and only sex is left. Monologue of the Sister (Ludmila Pogorelova), concluding the performance, contrasts with the previous course of action and is full of genuine tragedy. This work bears the imprint of an expressionist style, which has been the characteristic of a well-known stagings of Roman Viktyuk in the late 1990s - early 2000s: "A Clockwork Orange" and "Spring Awakening".
