Free excursions
The Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow invites you to absolutely free excursions around architectural monuments of Moscow (at the moment rhe excursions are run in the Russian language). This initiative is part of ‘Exit to the City” project of Moscow government. During the first excursion, participants were introduced to a constructivism-style monument “Zuev Club”, which was built by architect Ilya Golosov on Lesnaya Street.
In 2012, the range of free excursions was expanded and now includes over 30 destinations. The program includes visiting historical buildings, churches, monasteries. In the springtime, thematic walking tours will be added, such as “Historical styles in Moscow architecture”, “Modern-style architecture in Moscow”, “Avant-garde architecture”, “Zamoskvorechye architecture”.
These excisions are open to everyone. The schedule of the excursions is available here. The tours are guided by the famous historians and Moscow City experts.
