Reflections of the Japanese love
13 July
The festival of Japanese films about love and youth "Reflections" will be held until 6 August. Cinema 35mm. Admission to all sessions of the festival is free
Expression of feelings of love, the relationship between a man and a woman in Japan of the past are radically different from those in Western culture. You could even say that because of the embellishment of the topic and some other factors that are reflected in the classical literature, for example, the work of "The Tale of Genji" and the Ukiyo-e prints, a one-sided view of the relationship between a man and a woman in Japan occured in many countries.
For the festival program were selected films that reflect the ideas of love and youth, characteristic of different historical epochs, and show how these views have changed under the influence of waves of change and revolution, opening the theme of love and adolescence against the backdrop of an era.
"The Tale of Genji" tells of the Heian period (794-1185/1192), "Eedzyanayka" - about the end of the Edo period (1603-1868), "Pander" - the period from the end of the Meiji era (1868-1912) before the Showa (1926-1989), "Woman of the Night" - the Showa period before the war, "Girls of Izu" - the period immediately after the defeat in the war, "Out of this world. Club "Sintyugun" - about the postwar period in Japan and "Love Letter" about the "lost decade" of the late Showa period. Time of action in the films covers the period from the Middle Ages in Japan until the 80th of XX century.
